Picchiotti is a shipyard with a long-standing tradition, located in the heart of Viareggio. The shipyard was founded in 1575 in Limite sull’Arno and, throughout the 19th century and into the early 20th century, was one of the most renowned in Italy. It later moved to Viareggio, becoming a leading name in Italian shipbuilding. Ships of every kind have left its docks, from sailing vessels to military ships for the Italian Navy and foreign navies, to sports boats and recreational craft. Cabanon was built in 1971 by the skilled hands of the world’s finest shipwrights and has undergone a complete, meticulous, and thorough refit over the past three years. This refit has updated her mechanical systems, electronics, and deck fittings without compromising her charm and atmosphere. Featuring 5 cabins and 4 bathrooms (in addition to the crew cabin with separate access and private bathroom), Cabanon embodies the elegance of Italian tradition, the spaciousness of large yachts, the scent of the fine woods from which it is crafted, and a collection of linens and embroidery that make life on board luxurious. A must-see.
